Oh, Hooters, we love your wings. We hate your ... everything else. So please, don't ruin the wings for us by firing a server for being fat. Especially when she's 5-foot-8 and weighs 132 lbs.
Cassie Smith, 20, works at a Hooters in Michigan and was recently given a performance review. The only complaints were about her uniform sizes. Two women from the Hooters corporate headquarters in Atlanta told hew to shape up or ship out ... literally.
Cassie was given a free membership to a gym and 30 days to drop some pounds. The problem is that her current size doesn't give her that much weight to lose before she's underweight. Hooters reps say they can enforce a fitness requirement because their waitresses are just like the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, only with hula hoops and pitchers of Bud.
We also couldn't help but notice that while this girl is being harassed to shed some weight, her assistant regional manager seemed a little more in need of a diet.
Oh, and the restaurant in question has had several health-code violations, which are prrrrrrrrrrobably more important than whether a waitress is wearing small or extra-small booty shorts. Priorities, people!

Playboy Clubs used to have the VIP room where you could dine with well endowed bunnies serving you while gingerly shoving their cleavage at your nose. Hooters, just took up the slack. If the girl is not stacked, demand her to do something that will further shrink her shortage. You can then get rid of her. Nice corporate manoeuver. Ahh. so that's why so many of our young people are uptight about eating and suffering from anorexia, skinny = beautiful. Skinny = acceptable. Women are people, mothers, sisters, daughters. Not just objects to men. Women need to wake up. How can someone love you that doesn't see below the surface. Hooters just aggravates these beliefs. I'm so glad I'm middle-aged, not perfect physically and have been there and done all that. I can be a person now, and if a man doesn't like me, so be it.

Having just watched her interview on TV, this picture must have been taken when she was hired. She definately is heavier than this picture would indicate, for her height, 132 lbs is not skinny by any means. Like it or not, being able to fit the uniform is a condition of employment and even in Michigan would keep her from winning a court suit of any kind. The great thing about this country is that if you disagree with a companies hiring practices, don't apply for a job there.

Ridiculous. Check the charts - the lowest weight recommended for a healthy woman who is 5'8" is 128. That's for someone with a tiny bone structure. An "average" bone structure is 138 - 145.

Did you see that tub of lard assistant manager? OMG....he weighs 350 lbs. if he weighs an ounce! Why aren't they concerned about patrons losing their appetite looking his morbidly obese ass? Hooters is disgusting to begin with, kind of a poor man's snapper bar. Maybe this girl will realize that sexism just isn't pretty and find a better job.
