Hard-rockin' '80s hair band Twisted Sister isn't the music that you'd usually associate with your teachers -- but that's about to change. A rowdy group of fed-up educators at Bloomingdale Senior High School in Valrico, Fla., made a lip dub to "We're Not Gonna Take It" with a special message for their students -- stop it with the gum chewing, texting and midriff-baring tees already! And the teachers aren't the only ones at Bloomingdale getting into the lip-dub action -- the students (who seem to have watched their fair share of "High School Musical" and "Glee") can also lip sync with the best of them. (Check out their adorably awesome mash-up of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough / All the Small Things," too). Enjoy!

You have this all wrong. It was not made because a group of teachers was "fed up" with texting, gum chewing, etc. The students have a club that does this and the teachers did it as a parody of what the students were doing. It was all in fun- they were just playing up what happens in school. It was all creative and fun- your story makes it sound negatively towards the teachers.

Loved this! I'm a former school secretary at a media-arts high school & this type of video brought back some fond memories.

if i was a teacher in todays school , every cell phone i saw being used in my class room would end up against the wall. unless a child was waiting for " that " call that the organ they are waiting for is in . i would not allow cells on school campass. i dont know of any law that say children have a right to have them or a law that says they cant be taken away. funny how we all lived all these years with out a phone glued to our heads . man i have seen kids go ballistic if some one tried to take thier phone away from them like it was the end of the world . i,m a firm believer of noooooo phones in school period ! and expecially in a class room !

Are you really a teacher? I would expect a teacher not to make grammar mistakes.

You say that now. Unfortunately, cell phones as much as a nuisance as they can be can have life saving effects. Several years ago, a 6year old was able to notify authorities of a school shooting at a jewish daycare because she had a phone. a 6 year old. Cell phones are not an entitlement but having one could save your life or someone elses.

Well done, brothers and sisters of the teaching clan! I am a middle school teacher and I truly empathize...what with the never ending gums that ended up under the soles of my brown leather shoes...and the texting under the desk that warns me that they're just not into my lesson...boring...with just a few days before summer...guys, thank you for making teaching fun again!

This is a terrific clip. UTube is wonderful venue for social comment .... and protest. If you can find humor in a situation, you can often soften the problem and even defuse it.
But I'm having trouble finding humor in the fact that our privacy is being infringed upon by many AOL comment boards, including this one.
WARNING ... there is a Hyperlink under your display name on this comment board. Try it. WOW .... isn't that neat?. There's your "profile'.
That profile was created the first time you signed on to ANY comment board on AOL ... and there are almost a hundred of them, including this one. It's linked to your EMail address . Permanently.
Now look at the nice archives of EVERY comment you've ever made, right there on your profile. To be seen by anyone who clicks onto it.
AOL never warned you that whatever name you first used would be DISPLAYED online and on that profile. Even if you later post under a pseudonym .... heck ... that original name is still on your profile. Gee whiz .... they never even warned you a "profile" was being made. Only that your comment had been "verified". Sneaky sneaky ....
Oh yes. If you have an unusual name and you've ever posted anything here on LemonDrop, your profile may be picked up by Google Search and you'll be all over the World Wide Web as an independent link. Instant fame?
Nasty Nasty ....

Kudos to Bloomingdale and its teachers for the creativity and fun. Kudos also to the students who played along.
