According to a new poll the average woman dates 24 guys before she settles on one (hey, we said "ON.") She'll also spend about $3,000 in the process. Some women had been out with as few as two guys, but some said they'd tried upwards of eighty. So maybe you haven't been unlucky in love -- maybe you're just nearing "Mr. 24." (WDSU)

Wow. At the time when I dated, I was fat AND ugly. Within 5 dates in 9 days, I was engaged to the guy. We married in less than 4 months. That was almost 28 years ago. We are still married and wouldn't want it any other way. But, 54 years!! AWESAOME -- and congrattulations!

Hmm so if women sleep with more than one man she is rendered a slut or as you put it "unhealthy" but what is that man considered? Is he not serving as a "mattress" for that woman as well since he went to bed with her as fast as she went to bed with him? We never question men's responsibility in sexual matter but will chastise any woman if she does even half of what any man does when it comes to sex. Nice to know that nothing ever changes despite the year.

Seriously, if you think that in order to date someone you have to have had sex with them, then I feel sorry for all of those you get in the sack. I'm married, and I dated a lot of guys. I made out with a lot more. I waited until I was married to have sex. I don't think you have to do that either. It's a personal choice, but dating doesn't equal sex.

gk - dated 24 men does not mean "had intercourse with 24 men". Most women do not have intercourse with most or even any of the men they date. That's just for TV. -Happily married
