The concept: artist sits there. The result: tears. Lots of them. In a current exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York called Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, guests are invited to sit across from Abramovic as she ... sits there.
MoMa's Flickr set captures viewers' reactions while viewing, and Tumblr Marina Abramovic Made Me Cry collects photos of the ones who, for whatever reason, are moved to tears. The photo at right was taken after a 189-minute stare session, but many people crack within minutes.

I dont get it. Can someone please explain the point to this? is this really art? i wish i could make money by having people come stare at me while i sleep, or eat or daydream. Why would anyone want to go stare at someone. It doesn't make any sense! the ones that cry must really have some depressing life.
