It was supposed to be the Summer of Love in Stockholm.Princess Victoria, the eldest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, is scheduled to wed in mid-June, amid weeks of love-themed festivities. The crown princess had already taken her fair share of heat for taking up with a commoner: Her fiance, Daniel Westling, is a former trainer. But now he sure looks like a prince compared to her little sister's true love.
Princess Madeleine Therese Amelie Josephine, 27, shown at left with her fiancé, Jonas Bergstrom, 31, a lawyer, just called off her royal wedding. The cause? Rumors that he had sex with a college student while they were engaged.
First, we'd like to say: It's nice that being a princess doesn't make you immune to this sort of behavior. And we sure wish we had a Royal Court to announce our decisions to the world -- as opposed to having to rely on Facebook. But more than that, we wish all chicks -- on the fast track to the throne or not -- would exhibit such dignity.
"After having thought it through thoroughly, the Princess Madeleine and Mr. Jonas Bergstrom have made their decision to go separate ways," said the statement issued by the court, reports CNN.
Let's do the math: Now he's tainted goods in a country her dad runs, while she's a hot princess back on the open market.

My thoughts: Being single now for 12 years and dated all sorts. Men do not see sex on the same level as us females do. We cherish it and they don't. Men are from Mars Women from Venus! We just are not equipt in the same manner. From the time we were raised, it is something you do once your married. Men were not given this lecture. If they were lectured then they were not listening and peer pressure got the best of those! I am 42 now and have given up on dating!

As for Elin, that chick was a caddy (they tried to say she was a "model") that is a lie! That's what Tiger gets for marrying a white girl.

Actually, I would have to say that it's SAD that being a princess doesn't make you immune to be cheated on. It just shows the depth to which men will sink... they can't ever be happy with what they have, even if what they have is a beautiful, rich, PRINCESS.

problem with what you are saying Justcurious2 is that even though most men who cheat have a cheatee, the cheatee is not the one CHEATING directly on the wife, indirectly yes but the wife did not marry the cheatee, and many times men who cheat almost always give a pitiful story about how they are not happy in the marriage and/or about to get divorced, many times they are lying to the cheatee about the actual situation. Some women are just bad women and they don't care, but many times even with the bad women, there is the cheatER lying his behind off for some behind.

More power to her! No woman, princess or pauper, deserves to be treated like garbage by the man she loves. All power to her for not crumbling out of embarrassment or disappointment. I notice the women talk about what a "dog" Tiger is, or the scum that the princess dropped, or the personal trainer- commoners I think they said... Ahhh, Mis Carrie (and Ben) her Dad doesn't run anything, not even his own palace. He's a figurehead and for doing precisely what he is ordered to do he is paid. Not all that much, but enougn to live comfortable as long as "they" don't mind living in a fishbowl. It's a lousy life and eventhough Jonas Bergstrom is, no doubt, a heel, in the end he'll be better off staying away from any off the Royals. Just so you know there are ONLY 2 Royal families in Europe that have any power (albeit limited) in their own Government and those are The Netherlands and Belgium (similar constitutions) All the others are mere puppets. None of these girls (princesses) are to be envied.

Why did you all start talking about tiger when it was about another couple? Tiger is a dog, period. He even said in his big press conference that he felit "entitled" to screw around with every girl who shaked her ass in front of him! I am glad Victoria kicked him to the curb! She is a princess after all, and if they even can't respect a princess, then the should be living in the world of squalor.
