Maybe it's time to button up?After an Iranian cleric blamed a recent spate of earthquakes on provocatively dressed women, thousands of feminists and proud skanky dressers joined Boobquake, a Facebook group in which they pledged to expose cleavage on April 26 to highlight the ridiculousness of said stupid statement.
Cool, right? Alas, it defies all logic and the laws of science, but the protest got started on the wrong foot, when a 6.9-magnitude quake hit Taiwan on the morning of Boobquake.
The group's founder, Jennifer McCreight, took to Twitter, explaining that earthquakes of that size happen 134 times a year. In an interview last week, our buddies over at Asylum actually asked her what she'd do if such an event occurred, and she was actually pretty nonplussed: "Tens of earthquakes happen everyday, so I'm not too worried. But if we do [see a big one], we'll know women have magical powers, which is kind of cool."
Holy mackerel, are our boobs freaking magic??
The protest will continue for the rest of today. Unless of course a 9.5 happens to knock California into the ocean, in which case, fine, we'll button our cardigans.

that is so stupid, boob quake, woman should button up anyways, why do they want to dress like skanks, men perfer decent woman, cover up and leave it to the immagination, woman by, glad i have a decent wife, we live ina free country and do whatever and yes woman dress that way here as well

Don't always judge a book by it's cover. Just because a woman has her cleavage showing doesn't mean she is a "skank" or a bad person. There are a lot of different styles out there and that's just how they dress or express themselves. The statement about the quake is a crack up & the facebook page well to each their own, I'm not going to bash on people wearing what they want nor a facebook fan page. I'm one to judge when I know somebody's actions/personalities after getting to know them. I know a lot of people that completely cover up and they are in fact complete skanks, and I know this as fact because I actually got to know them. Hey, look at serial killers, a lot of them are stand up people in the public eye but behind closed doors they have dead bodies under their houses! Look at priests and what they do, I think I've made my point.
Boob shake cause the quake, I think not, but it was a good giggle :)
