We thought Chat Roulette was pretty much the domain of bored suburban teens and voyeuristic guys who enjoy masturbating at random strangers (and the girls who like to mess with them). Then we saw Merton, the piano improv Chat Rouletter, and we had to reassess -- and we had to wonder, is that actually Ben Folds?

Using his self-taught piano skills and immeasurable wit, Merton (or so we'll call him for now) creates a special tune for everyone he chats with -- apartment-dwelling Italian guys, anonymous twee girls -- even muscle-y men with bad facial hair. The result? Smiles for everyone!





It's almost enough to make us give Chat Roulette a try. Almost.
