Some world records are downright terrifying -- world's longest fingernails, or the world's largest omelet (food poisoning, hello!) -- but He Pingping always held a warm place in our heart as the world's smallest man. Pingping was born with primordial dwarfism, a condition which resulted in his growing only 29 inches high. On Saturday, at the age of 21, he died of heart complications, taking the mischievous twinkle in his eye with him forever. A replacement record holder has yet to be found, probably because he's so small. (Telegraph)Mar 17th 2010 By Emerald Catron

"A replacement record holder has yet to be found, probably because he's so small.".
Because that's important???? Really???? This was a human being. How dare you trivialize this man's life as if he's an animal, or just a circus sideshow freak or nonentity.
"On Saturday, at the age of 21, he died of heart complications, taking the mischievous twinkle in his eye with him forever". This should have been the perfect ending to your story.
How would your lfie story end???? Who will replace you?????

I completely agree with the first comment. Here's my summary of the article:
Hahaha, this guy was tiny, hahaha he died, hahaha he died b/c he was tiny.
The emotional depth and empathy here represent the highest standards of journalism- the Pulitzer Prize committee will have some tough deliberations.
A light and humorous perspective doesn't mean emotionally bankrupt. Fewer sociopathic-esque articles, or I will seriously reconsider visiting lemondrop.com and I hope others will too.

Umm, you guys flipping out about the replacement line need to chill. It's relevant to the article. Yeah, he died. People do that on occasion. It's sad for the people who loved them, but as I'm perusing the internet I don't cry over every death. I do, however, return to websites that include all relevant facts.
Also, did you stop to think that the line could be construed in a different light? -Because when I read it I thought, cool, he still holds his title, at least that's something. Meaning he'll still be referenced when primordial dwarfism is spoken of instead of utterly forgotten had they found someone smaller. Maybe you guys have recently lost someone, or maybe you just like to be condescending jerks on the internet, I don't know, but stop it.

I definitely agree with the comments above. You've trivialized this man's life attempting to show that he was just another record holder. A tiny tear? is that supposed to be funny? How about you shed the same amount of tears as you would for anyone else who died!
