Who would have thought the solution to teenagers who are angry and aloof is just to give them a reasonable bedtime? One Scottish charity did, and now they're offering classes on how to sleep. It seems there's more to learn than "turn off lights and close eyes." Sleep Scotland is giving classes on the importance of not watching television or playing video games too late, and of getting at least nine hours of sleep every night.
So, apparently we weren't falling asleep in high school zoology because it was so freaking boring, it was actually that we were only getting four hours of sleep a day -- a circumstance that would not bode very well with the Spanish, who are trying to have their midday siesta declared an art form. Campaigners are arguing that the loss of their afternoon nap could bring on the nation's downfall.
Hmmm ... perhaps a mandatory semester abroad in Madrid could teach teens how to really appreciate sleep? Or at least how to make their big sis tapas. Delicious, delicious, tapas.

We have a saying for our 15 year old. When it hits his bedtime he almost instantly turns in to a new person. We say he is Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

in my earlier years, i use to work for general motors, during that time I had to report to work at odd hours through out the night.
now, almost 25 years later,
I still wakeup at odd hours through out the night,
thinking that I still have to report to work.....
it's like i have alarm clock in my head....
when it go's off, I can't never go back to sleep....
not until later that night,
so,
here I go again....
