Sometimes (most of the time) some of us here at the 'drop are not huge fans of children. But occasionally the little Dickenses redeem themselves by doing something so awesomely sweet and good that even we have to clap them on their tiny backs and clasp our ovaries in adoration. Like this video of students from P.S. 22 in New York, which shows you what happens when indie rockers grow up to become elementary music teachers – and features a bunch of cute-as-pie-and-not-at-all-annoying children sing Phoenix's hit track "Lisztomania."
Trust us, if you don't fall in love with this you're kind of dead inside. (And somebody please send this to Phoenix's Thomas Mars so these kids can open for them the next time they're in town!) Enjoy!

too bad jansee...hopefully, one day u will understand what children can do for your heart...esp. when ur old & feeble wishing u had someone to look after u.
I only had 1 son & never even changed a diaper until him. (couldn't get preg again) He's 39 now & my life would have been so empty without watching him grow into a great man. Remember, everyone else's kid is annoying...not your own ;)))

Am old as dirt but when I was in school through High School we sang from church music to popular songs to Broadway. Music is a great way to keep the hearts soaring. This clip was great to see kids, kids of today, really getting into something that encompasses all life styles - boys, girls, every color, and creed. Keep singing guys, you were/are great!!!!

Very cool! Those kids are totally into it - and kids who love music like that - they grow up good. I mean, they grow up as caring, feeling, functioning people who want to take care of their slice of the world and make it a better place. What a great video.

You must've voted for Obama and smoke marijuana on a regular basis with that kind of answer.

Uhhh....yeah...not sure what is supposed to make me "want" kids from watching that...it just makes me want to homeschool my kids so they aren't brainwashed by liberal junkies. I think that watching kids in a chemistry or math course answering questions that actually show that kids are being taught to use their brain would make me more interested in having a million kids - watching them sing to a song that means nothing to anyone is a ridiculous reason to think that people will want to have kids.

This was GREAT! I watched it with my kids, both teenagers. All of our jaws dropped when we heard the harmonizing that they made seem so effortless. And never have I seen a group of kids perform like this in school with every single kid being really into it. This HAS to be the result of an awesome, energetic, and passionate music teacher with a great gift. I wish there were more of them, and hope lawmakers see this and recognize what music can do for our kids in schools. I have no doubt that the soul stirring that these kids get during music class carries on throughout their school day, inspiring them to excel in all other areas of their lives. Kudos to P.S. 22!

Perhaps the anti-child Lemondroppers should have their ovaries removed, or fallopian tubes severed and tied, lest they be cursed with children. Should those young 'women' ever grow up, and suffer child-hunger, there are millions of children all around the world who need adoptive parents.

ha ha ha ha ha ha If they would let you get your tubes ties at my age believe me I WOULD! People shouldn't have children if they don't like them and they shouldn't be forced to like them either.
