Last week we introduced you to "The Crying Wife" -- a woman who turns every and any movie into a sobfest regardless of genre. It turns out serial bawler Hollie isn't the only one who gets blubbery in front of the TV. So dim the lights and cue the waterworks -- here are the on-screen moments that get Lemondrop readers teary-eyed. "I cry every time I watch Sebastian the crab sing 'Under the Sea.' Because you just know that he's lying to himself." -- The Revolutionary
"When I was little I would cry at the end of the show 'Reading Rainbow.' When the hot air balloons went up, I thought they never came back down." -- Scifigrl
"I am just like her! I don't cry at funerals or weddings, but you show me it on TV and I'm bawling! What about that Dawn soap commercial where they're cleaning the baby animals covered in oil, oh my goodness! Or 'Extreme Makeover Home Edition'?!" -- Pru
"When it comes to animals ('Never Ending Story', 'Bambi,' 'Marley and Me,' etc.) bring out the waterworks, damn it. and 'Dumbo' just always make me want to bunch up into myself, and my chest gets weighted with tears wanting to come out." -- dag
"The only movie I can think of when I cried was 'The Lion King.' When Mufasa got trampled to death by the wildebeest and Simba lying there next to him makes me tear up. I do not cry anymore, but I get the tingles and a knot in my heart every time I see or hear about it." -- SandW09
"I cried embarrassingly hard and LOUD in the theater of all places in 'I am Legend' when Will Smith has to kill the dog. That was probably the most traumatic movie-going experience of my life." -- T
"Cried when I watched 'Pokemon' the movie, when Ash died and Pikachu was trying to revive him over and over. In fact, me (37) my daughter (13) and my nephew (18) all were crying watching that bit! Awful!!!" -- melanie reynolds
"I hear ya, Crying Wife. I bawled in 'She's the Man,' 'Monsters Inc.,' and 'Stepbrothers.' I don't think I can handle going to see something actually sad like 'Precious.' Although I did make it through the 'Blindside' with only one pack of Kleenex!" -- Breezy
"None of these movies that have been mentioned so far even come close to 'The Champ' with Jon Voight and Ricky Schroeder. I cried pretty much throughout the movie but the killer scene at the end of the movie when Jon Voight is in the locker room dead after what was supposed to be his come-back fight, and little Ricky Schroeder comes in and starts crying and screaming 'wake up, champ, wake up' while patting his face is a complete sob-a-thon. Tears are running down my face right now as I recall it!" -- Katherine

"City of Angels" had me bawling at the end...something along the lines of..."would you have done it if you knew it was going to turn out like this...Nick Cage responds with " I would have done it for just one touch, one breath of her hair...etc.." So sweet, but sad.

How about when the robot sacrifices himself, in IRON GIANT, and gets blown up saving the town. When I took my boys to see that movie, my youngest turned to me in the movie theatre and asked with tears in his eyes, "Dad, did he die?" Totally lost it, as did I notice the majority of the other dads in the audience.

OK, I'm not a "cryer", I am very strong ......in public. However, when I am alone enjoying a movie I can bawl like a baby. Go figure! What makes me break down? The Painted Vail and Walter dies, Marley and Me, The Green Mile, The Road to Perdition, UP, The Lovely Bones and ,believe it or not, WalE. Just to mention a few. It's good to let go and shed a few tears, it is a great release.
So for all you people that think it's "silly", let your brain have a vacation. Enjoy the emotion of feeling emphaty and allow yourself connect with something outside your own reality.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) with Haley Joel Osment is one of the worst movies in history. I saw it in a theater and I sobbed and sobbed through most of that movie. I have never seen it again and never will.

I choked up during many a film over my 74 years, but there is one from when I was a child that takes the all-time prize, but you'd have to dig really deep to find it.. Titled "The Fighting Sullivans", it was supposed to coincide with the war effort, and ended in the saddest way possible. Over the years I found it impossible to describe that scene late in the movie without completely breaking down, so I don't even try.

I agree with you completely. After watching The Fighting Sullivans, I sobbed just describing the movie to others. I'm not talking a few sniffles....I mean out and out sobbing like someone in my family just died kind of crying. From that day forward, I cry every time I hear Taps, and I'm a funeral director so I hear Taps a lot

It dosn't seem like a crying movie at first glance but my son who is 26 now cried when at T2 when the Terminator sacrificed himself in the molten steel so that his technology couldn't be used against mankind.
He was 8 then I think.
