I don,t really have a type because I like all men . As long as they pass a few simple test .
Eyes . Are the truthful, kind , and loveing ?
Hands - Do they look like they have done at least some hard work and are they graceful when they move ? They can,t be short but not stubby . If fact wide hands and long fingers are prefered . Do they look as though they play guitar or piano ?
Walk - Do they have a strong sturdy walk ? No feet pointed in or out and do they pick up their feet when they walk ? I hate men who clunk . They also have to have some grace but not so much as to have a question in my mind as to whether they can do the due .
After that then you want to get down to business . When walking up the street with them ,
Do they ---
Look at other women ?
Put money in the Salvation Army can ?
Notice positive things about others ?
Keeps the conversation off of themselves ?
This could be an endless list but it is a good start for about this time I make a decision as to whether I would spend anymore time with this person .

I like your post! You obviously consider the important things in life; not the usual status quo-what kind pf job, car, house, $ etc...Those that do are going to be disappointed! Good luck in finding the man of 'quality' that your looking for-they ARE out there-I know I found mine and this year will be celebrating our silver aniversary:) Best Wishes:)

The media places more credibility in what a Hollywood freak has to say about a subject than a person who has a phd. in that subject.

Anyone who looks to Hollywood for anything more than entertainment needs their head examined.......they make good movies and TV shows, that's about it. If you need marriage counseling, find a marriage counselor.

You are absolutely correct! Hollywood, with their inaccurate, unrealistic, fantasies have caused more social problems in our lifetime than swine flu, HIV, or marijuana. To expect accurate information from them is oxymoronic.

Two very obvious choices were left out. Tom Hanks and John Travolta are both in long happy marriages.

Why are Will and Jada not listed? They have been married for 12 years and have three intelligent successful children. Plus, Will could give advice on remarriage also.

How about someone who's had an extremely long, loving marriage, such as Joanne Woodward who was married to Paul Newman for more than 50 years? Or Sam Elliot and Katherine Ross? Or maybe talk to Betty White, who was married to Allen Ludden for years? Or Mrs. Dennis Weaver, who was married to her husband for ages?'
Honestly, who in their right mind would speak to someone who's barely been married a few years in Hollywood and have them considered "good characters" of a long marriage?
And personally, I wouldn't go to Dr. Phil because he's not even a real doctor; he just calls himself that!

Jami Gertz, the female lead in the TV sitcom, "Still Standing", has been in a fairly long and successful marriage (currently 43 or 44 years old with 3 children, I believe), and would have been an excellent choice. Also, as suggested by another Poster, "None of the above" would have been a useful option for an answer.
