Here at Lemondrop, we're lucky to sit near the AOL Food chicks, and they always have delicious snacks just sitting on the edge of their desks, tempting passersby like me to grab up. And I always do. Then I want to go back for more, but I'm embarrassed. It's for the same reason that I now keep my cereal on Julieanne's desk: In order to eat it, I have divulge to her that I'm having a third bowl. And, according to the NYT, I'm not the only one. Are there any other Constant Nibblers who keep their food at a co-worker's desk? Shame Yourself Into Snacking Less

i am a complete snacker. i always put my sweets in my boss' office so if i decide i want something i have to deal with him knowing how many times i go to get something. embarrassment is key for me.

i'm a stay at home mom, so can't utilize a co-worker's desk. my food lives where i do. i do, however, do weight watchers, and have to log my food when i eat it. so i'm accountable to myself - but i have to write it down, good or bad. it keeps me from going completely crazy.

When I'm working I never eat the snack food that's out, but I eat plenty of everything else.

I work 12 hour shifts at a desk, where breaks aren't always guaranteed. I get so bored at work that I often find myself stuffing my face while not hungry just to make the day go by. It's also incredibly cold and dark in my office so sometimes I have to eat to stay awake. I've been on a typical 8-5 recently and lost 10 lbs just because I'm on a normal schedule! I also reduced my coffee intake to 1/2 cup/ day. What can I do to maintain my healthy habits when I return to this intolerable 12 hr schedule?

Sarah, Drink a lot of liquids, particularly water (or V8 is good). It will make you feel full. Or bring healthy snacks with you to work, like special k bars, fruit, yogurt, ect. I always like to have suckers, because they take awhile to eat so therefore they keep you from binging! 1 only has 60 calories! Try to eat slow too. You won't eat as much, take one bite every minute. It works for me!
