Glamoxy snake serumThe newest British beauty craze is about to land stateside: This week, Rodial's Glamoxy Snake Serum, which relies on a synthetic version of a neuro-peptide found in the Southeast Asian temple viper, will hit stores like Henri Bendel and Space NK, reports the New York Daily News.

The pseudo-peptide, called syn-ake, stiffens facial muscles to temporarily reduce fine lines and wrinkles, unlike the real snake's venom, which, uh, stops the aging process altogether. The high-priced potion sells for $165 a bottle and counts Katie Holmes among its devotees. The serum's tagline: "How far would you go to look younger?"

Good question. What do you think: This isn't the first time syn-ake has made its way into anti-aging products. But would you shell out $165 for fake snake venom -- or is this just the latest high-priced snake oil being peddled to women?
