In honor of Tiger Woods' wooden, plodding "media availability" appearance (it's not a press conference if you can't ask questions), our friends at The Frisky have put together a gallery of other guys who did wrong and their awkward public statements. It's a pretty politician-heavy list (nice work John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, et al), but performers like Chris Brown and Kanye West are also represented. boo hoo. Cheating is healthy... why the hell would you want to be sticking your meat in the same oven the rest of your life? Marriage is for losers. Why the hell would you commit to one person? Do you actually think love is real... it's not, it's just hormones and your imagination. No, I'm not a scorn woman, I just see life as how it is... not some friggen fantasy land.

Wow! I've never heard someone say that cheating is healthy. What's "healthy" about it? Seriously. Falling in love is real; marriage "'til death do you part" is real, too. I know that in todays' "anything goes" society you don't see it as often, but it does exist. Committing to one person doesn't only involve sex. There is so much more to a good relationship. There is friendship and companionship, and, yes, true love. It is possible for 2 people to meet and fall in love and marry and love each other 'til one of them dies. People who fall in love like that accept the changes in the others' face and body and grow old together. It's not just about the physical aspect of their relationship, although that is very important. It's about finding your soulmate, about finding a person who "gets you." It's about someone who is your match, who you can build a life with. I feel sorry for you. I really do. You sound so jaded and bitter. I was lucky enough to find my husband when I was 22 years old. We dated for 3 years, then got married. We were married for 37 years and it was a love story from the moment our eyes locked to the moment, 40 years later, when he died in my arms. Oh, we had our share of disagreements and arguments, etc., but the love was always there. We were very lucky to be able to be together when his time came, too.
So, in conclusion, Veronica, I hope that, someday, your attitude will change and you will find someone who will love you and value you and that you can love and value back, so your life won't be as empty and lonely as your comment suggests it is.
