The sixth and final season of "Lost" premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EST on ABC, so if you have friends who are obsessed with the exploits of the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 and the folks they've met on that remote island, chances are you're going to hear theories about the end for the next few months. There's also a special on at 8, but we bet it's yet another clip show. But what if "Lost" had premiered 40 years ago? Some fans put together these alternate opening credits, completely with go-go music and grainy film footage.
Oh, and a show like "Lost" premiering in the 1960s is not as far-fetched as it seems -- in 1969, when "The Brady Bunch" premiered, one of the other shows at the time was "The New People," which the Boston Globe describes as a program that "followed a group of plane-crash survivors setting up a utopian society on a deserted island." Enjoy!

You'd have never seen those girls in bikinis fourty years ago.
Hell, they wouldn't even show Barbara Eden's belly button. (Sigh)

The Prisoner was a show from England in the 60's and is the granddaddy of exile shows in a Utopian society. Its a cult classic. You can buy it on DVD.
