The One Million Giraffes challenge: Prove that it is, in fact, possible to collect 1,000,000 homemade giraffe drawings, sculptures and other renderings of the long-necked mammal by 2011.

Why? Can't think of a good reason, but the creator of the site made a bet with his girlfriend that he could, and that's a good enough reason for us.

The count is already up to almost 538,000, so things are looking good. Check out the blog for more fun, or contribute your own. The only rules: The giraffe can't be made with a computer or bought from a store.
