We already knew that the late Bea Arthur had one impressive set of pipes, but did you know she knew how to get her groove on, too? In a rare (and awfully pixelated) clip, this Golden Girl shakes what her mama gave her with actor Jaleel White (better known as "Family Matters"' favorite nerd Steve Urkel) in their own rendition of the Urkel Dance at the American Comedy Awards.
While she may have been well into her 70s at this point, Arthur's effortless pelvic thrusts prove that she's still got it. She even takes a jab at "U Can't Touch This" saying, "Hey MC Hammer, try to top that!" Watch her do her thing. Enjoy!

This us truly a priceless gem. If someone has the original tape of this wonderful woman, please send it to You-Tube for all to enjoy. What a wonderful lady and Jaleel White thank you for teaching her how to do the Urkel!

Met her briefly in New Orleans about 18 years ago in a bar/restaurant. A delightful lady with no "star attitude" about her at all. Just one of the group she was with. She definitely had a unique acting style and had mastered the Jack Benny type of "look" to get a laugh as well as the sarcastic comeback she did so well on "The Golden Girls." Too bad we lost her so soon.

I had no idea Bea Arthur had such a background in singing, Broadway, etc. for many years. I knew her only from "Maude" and "The Golden Girls." Bea's brilliant comedic timing on those TV shows is always great to watch. This is a woman who could have the audience in laughter with just a look. RIP, Bea.

She and Jack Benny were the only people in the world who could make me crack up out saying a single word. That slow take or the distant gaze signifying the epitome of restraint and tolerance while she counted to 10 puts me on the floor every time to this day. I love to watch that show just as the doldrums threaten to sneak in.

I really love the clip of her with the sea lion on the Comedy Awards, and I wish I could find it. It is truly a classic. As a child I loved Maude, as a teen I loved Golden Girls, now I love it all! What a talent!

I loved Bea in everything she's ever done. She was so great as Maude, I feel bad for anybody who had never had the chance to watch that show back in the 70s. Bea was one hell of an actress and one hell of a human being.
