These photos come from the super-cool Flickr group
Looking Into the Past. The group includes self-submitted photographs from all over the world, from Virginia to Germany, showing old photographs of old locations held against the same location in present day.
It features all sorts of then-and-now combo photos, which are surprisingly cool to click through.

Funny how the more the world changes,
Things actually stay the same,
I have a project that I have finally decided to do,
There is a favortie tree of mine at a local Park,
Sence Colorado has 4 seasons
I am going to photograph the tree in all of our 4 seasons.

These were so cute :)
It is amazing how much some things just stay the same. You go to wonder what was going on whenever these pictures were taken. Did they think about global warming? Did they even dream of a black president?

The photo of Carroll Street is from Atlanta, not Brooklyn, in a little turn of the century neighborhood called Cabbagetown.

i lived in virginia(the dc area)..that place sux,the people are high society snobs and the fairfax police are nothing but rogues, they are the piction of nasty cops you see on a tv movie..!....the only people who move to the dc area are the scum of the nation trying to get into some political work,or to find some way to suckle from the tax money in some form..!..too bad the rest of amerrica cannot seperate ourselves from that area and the diplomats there..!
