Australian star hurdler Jana Pittman-Rawlinson recently reversed her $13,000 breast implant surgery, worried that her newly acquired chest was affecting her performance on the track.
"Every time I raced I panicked about whether I was letting my country down, all for my own vanity," she said.
Pittman-Rawlinson thinks that the weight and heft of her new cleavage is causing added drag on her speed, and that ditching them will make her more aerodynamic.
Look, we get that breast implants make a lot of women feel more confident -- but if a beautiful, successful world champion athlete and Olympian doesn't feel confident in her body, that doesn't really bode well. Especially considering the fact that Pittman-Rawlinson told reporters that she wouldn't rule out getting new implants after her track career is over.
If nothing else, maybe we can admire her commitment to the cause? "I absolutely loved having bigger boobs, but I don't want to short-change Australia either," she said. "I want to feel the most athletic I can, to know that I'm standing on the track in London (2012 Olympics) the fittest I can be."
After all, downsizing your chest for the citizens of your country is patriotism at its finest, if you ask us.

The most important aspect of a woman's breasts is who they are attached to. Large breasts my garner initial attention, but it is the woman herself who keeps the relationship going. The most intense relationships I have had have been with small breasted women. Initally, they expressed issues about their breast size, but the size did not affect how I felt about them. As they lamented, I assured them that I was with them NOW and that getting bigger breasts was not a factor in my continued relationship. I ended up marrying a small breasted woman and am still madly in love with her. Her breast size is irrelavent to our relationship. I have had relationships with women who have had implants, and although the size caught my attention initally, it was the woman herself, not her breasts, that kept my attention and affection... and I am sure if I saw her with her regular breasts, it would not have affected how I was attracted to her. So as far as I am concerne, remove the implants, run for your country,and find a man who doesn't care about how big you are.

I have implants (only a B cup) and I am a competitive road racer. I am training for a marathon this year to commorate 40 years being on this earth. I am getting faster with age, my determination is awesome, I love being a woman and I love being a runner. I find it is more whats inside of you that matters more than any sneaker, gear or other apparatus that detertmines your success. But on a lighter side family members have joked that the extra 2 inches may pass the finish line before some flat chested person.
