If you are horribly ashamed of your video game habits, you are not alone. It turns out most women who play video games lie about their degree of According to a study of online game "EverQuest II," girls who play log significantly more time gaming than their male counterparts (29 hours to 25). Granted, there were more guys who play than girls, but the chicks who do play tend to be more hardcore.
In addition to that fact, the women who play also tend to underestimate the actual amount of time they spend playing, whether this is because they don't want to seem like nerds or because they were so busy trying to level up that they lost track of time is unknown, although researchers suspect it's the former.
We say eff that noise. There's no reason to be ashamed to admit that a typical Monday night for you involves Fallout 2 and something that's been smothered in cheese sauce. In fact, some guys think that's hot -- not that you should care.

I am completely guilty of gaming for hours without end, and yes, a little ashamed in a way - not for being geeky but for looking as though I'm wasting time sitting on the couch when I should be (I guess) making better use of my time - and though I logged in possibly more than 12 hours on my Xbox in one day, I'm not afraid to admit that for fear of being branded as a geek (aka social outcast), but rather that I lost track of time, because 12pm becomes 3am too fast to notice.

Yeah, like I want to reveal that I have a place for the sausages to go. There's a reason I lend myself to gender ambiguity - hell, I can't even use a mic without being harassed by half the male gamer population. The other half think I'm a gay ten-year-old or something.

Any girl who plays video games is OK in my book. I don't see why people pick on them because of that.
