It's official: we have proposal fever. (After all, something's got to numb the pain of a life spent wearing sweatpants and eating Flaming Hot Cheetos.) This Weather Channel proposal is our favorite yet for its excellent use of green screen and the fact that it made the Weather Channel entertaining for one brief moment.Halfway through her New Year's weather forecast, Kim Perez started giggling, because her boyfriend Marty showed up. Then things got really out of control when he actually walked in front of the camera.
It was pretty obvious what he was there to do -- he gave a fairly standard pre-proposal speech, then dropped to one knee, while the green screen guy changed the image behind them from a map of the country to a big heart filled with the words "Will You Marry Me?"
Considering the fact that most viewers were probably just waiting around for the Local on the 8s, this makes for pretty compelling weather television.

One doesn't "predict [a] forecast." A forecast IS a prediction. Your sentence should have read: "It's her job to forecast ..." or "It's her job to predict the weather," but not "It's her job to predict the forecast." That's redundant. Learn the English language if you are going to work for a major news organization.

What a great way to start out the new year...With love....we could all stand a bit more of it in our lives. I suspect we'd all be much kinder to each other if we started out looking at each other as people who, for the most part, do indeed have that built into our souls. Good for the two of them that they have found each other.

Public wedding proposals are so tacky .. That is such a private matter and a personal decision to make in life .. People that pull that (usually guys) are hoping to use public pressure to get the gal to say "yes" .. I'd want her to make that deicsion on her own ..

Very well said. I see your point. As a woman, I wouldn't want to be pressured or put on the spot like that. Hopefully they will have a good life together. But I wouldn't be surprised if we here a few months to a few years from now that she broke it off because she felt pressured into marriage because of a public proposal either.

Awwwwwww. Now how 'special' was that? Ohhhh, that was soooooo romantic. :( Makes me 'reflect' to the times that I was in that position. :(( I wish I would have/could have recorded some of those times as well. :( And then, I (too) could post them for all to see how 'beautiful' it all was. :( And right behind that, i could post some of the 'meanest-nastiest-ugliest-loudest-yelling(est)-b!tchingest-fuck up(est)' fights and fusses that ANY ONE would ever want to 'bare witness' to. I agree. He IS a pedephile under the law, unless he is in certain states like Nevada. Nevada's age of consent is 16. I think that's sick either way (23 and 16 is NOT the same as 18 and 25), but unfortunately that's the legal consent age here.
