The folks at CBS are learning that you don't mess with Frosty. Parents are all up in arms about the two new Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman online ads that mash up classic scenes from "Frosty the Snowman" and "Frost Returns" with dialogue from the CBS sitcoms "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men." Apparently making one of Christmas's most beloved icons tell inappropriate, adult-oriented jokes just takes things TOO FAR.
As one woman quoted in the article states, "The ad introduces children to the idea of strippers and pornography ... It really drives home the idea that nothing is sacred anymore." Not even Frosty, it seems.
But that's the point of the ads. The offending promos end with the words "Some Things Are Better Left Untouched." As it stands, Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman is confined to the Internet. (They debuted on CBS.com and the CBS YouTube channel.) Of all the fun stuff on the Web, we're thinking Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman ranks in the top 5 percent of the least inappropriate animated comedy videos.
We have no qualms with the ads here at Lemondrop (we're always suckers for a good mash-up), but do you think CBS went too far? (And, more importantly, do you really think CBS is trying to get 10-year-olds to start watching "Two and a Half Men?")
Thanks to Josh Loposer for help reporting this story.

Maybe God needs to hurry and come to destroy this world. Look what we have become. I don't even want to live here anymore. This world is perverted and sick and is only getting worse. I remember when a bra commercial would only show a bra on a mannequin. Even on CBS.

They aren't CHANGING it--- they aren't doing anything different than ZILLIONS do on youtube every DAY. (Scooby Doo quoting South Park? THAT'S worse.)
Besides, people should stop complaining, because it was strictly an INTERNET campaign, and if your kids are too young to see it, then, they shouldn't BE on the internet without your permission/guidance ANYhow. (I have two sons, and I shield them from stuff, but it hasn't sucked my ENTIRELY dry of a sense of humor like parenting has some people.)

Those TV Shows aren't even funny. They have to stoop that low to try to gain ratings...Take them off the air. Trash.

I didn't think this spoof was funny, but me and my husband love SOUTH PARK and FAMILY GUY. We have all the DVD's and only watch them in the bedroom. The kids have no access to them. See, we watch what our kids are doing and we care about them and don't just sit them in front of a TV...babysitter and let the remote control loose on them. Learn some responsibility parents!

It amazes me that liberals are always able to laugh at the most deplorable amoral stuff and then when someone says something even remotely non-pc they are all about boycotting the station because their liberal sensitivities have been compromised.
At least parents are worried about their children and would like their kids to have a nice innocent childhood, and not have to worry about Bjs, porn and STDs.
The bar just keeps getting lower and lower and in order to be "Funny" the bar has to be lowered exponentially each time. So you have to trash things that are sacred in order to humor the godless. Not that Frosty is sacred, but if you have ever watched "Curb your enthusiam" it's beyond the pale.

Why must you assume that only liberals find this funny. How ignorant are you? First of all young children shouldn't even be watching CBS, there are no children shows. Secondly conservatives are the main users of pornography and strip clubs, its a fact! But then again assuming you are a conservative since its a PROVEN FACT you'll just say it a lie and quickly change the subject. Quit blaming liberals for the downfalls of society and just accept this is how are world is. Instead of attacking the fact children are exposed to sexual content why don't you sit down and talk to your damn kids about it. SEX IS NOT TABOO, and children should be able to ask there parent(s) about sex without parents shouting what has the media done to you! If you want to blame someone about our media exposing our children to violence and sex younger and younger then blame yourself because you as parent are paying for cable allowing children access to all of the media's trash and smut. Sure messing with frosty for the sake of a promo ad was wrong but you and others criticizing it and attacking the liberal community for laughing rather than shouting and getting all upset about it is far worse. What are you teaching your children, that life is better spent upset at the world,or that laughing at a joke is just that,, laughing. If I were you I would take this advice, cry once, laugh often, and if you don't like it let it go.

This is for "Hello"....Your post is SO right ! There are still some of us who value morality and struggle to raise our Children with Christian values. Thanks for letting others know that we are still here and will continue to keep our children away from the trash on TV....which seems to get worse every day.
