We're still sort of choked up from watching this. It's a video of a dog who hasn't seen his owner since he went to war. Well, the owner returns, and the dog shows a display of love that rivals even the most tear-jerking scenes in "Homeward Bound" and "Lassie." Seriously. If you've ever wondered whether or not your pet even notices when you're gone, this precious video says it all: They definitely do. That, and a dog really is a man's (and a soldier's) best friend. This is an amazing video. How wonderful that this soldier came home safely. I wish they all could. What a terrific welcome, too! In case anyone wasn't sure whether they should have a pet and take good, loving care of them, this should convince them. We have dogs and cats in our immediate family. They are definitely part of the family, and life would not be the same without them. We took the family dog to visit my father in hospice when he was in poor shape, and the dog was acutely aware of what was going on and just as upset as we were. He absolutely understood that Dad was dying and we all have been comforting each other since. I think my Mom would be just lost without the dog. I don't know what I would do without my cats.

I love that he is talking to the dog like his wife....this was great makes me miss my dog....who passed away....we parted for over a yr...lesson learned...NEVER part with you;re pet if can avoid it.....they take it harder then you
