National Kick a Ginger Day Potential TargetAs if redheads didn't have it bad enough, with their easily sunburned skin and their inability to wear bright pink, now teenagers have decided to make their lives even worse with an official Kick a Ginger Day.

The children in charge of the ginger-beating organized via a Facebook group message reminding everyone that November 20 was National Kick a Ginger Day.

The event was probably inspired by a 2005 episode of South Park in which Cartman explains the inherent evil of redheads.

The acts of violence toward redheads, which some consider hate crimes, were not limited to one school -- across Canada students were kicked in the shins by fellow students for the entire day while walking down the hall, and at least three children suffered at the feet of their peers in Calabasas, Calif., in attacks that might be classified as assault with a deadly weapon.

Facebook spokesman Barry Schmidt told the Los Angeles Times that groups that promote violence are in violation of the site's policies, and the "Kick a Ginger" group will be investigated.
