If hosting Thanksgiving dinner has you sweating bullets, then join the stressed-out club. A survey by After Eight mints found that 57 percent of 1,007 participants thought having a dinner party caused them more anxiety than their daily commute, and about a quarter of them would be less freaked out by a job interview. The report also claims that hosts typically fret over kitchen fiascos and yawning guests -- at 36 and 33 percent, respectively. Unrealistic expectations of keeping friends entertained while presenting Le Cordon Bleu-type cuisine is enough to drive anyone bonkers. In fact, 16 percent of participants admitted to going the store-bought route and passing it off as their own culinary skills. For shame.
