A new study suggests that lesbians may make the best parents.

According to work conducted by the National Academy of Parenting Practitioners, children raised by two women are more aspirational and "do better in life" than those who have a man and a woman for parents. One possible reason for this includes the fact that gay couples always have to make a conscious choice to have a child, since one would normally insert Tab A into Slot B to make a baby. If a couple has to go through an often lengthy and expensive process for a baby, they may be a little more prepared for parenthood than a straight couple who had a wild night in Cabo.

Does this mean that fathers everywhere need to brace themselves for the possibility that "I wish I'd never been born" could become "I wish you were a woman"? Uh, not likely. As the researchers wrote in their findings, it's "the quality of parenting that counts in the end" and not their gender.
