For a lot of women, watching your husband being shipped off to jail for dealing meth might be the straw that breaks the camel's back, but for one Nebraska woman, it simply meant it was time to get cracking and get the father of her children out of jail -- even if it meant going deep undercover in a drug ring spanning multiple states and linked to four murders. The woman, who has not been named out of concern for the her and her children's safety, went to the Omaha Police Department to see if she could get the 15-year sentence her husband received for dealing meth reduced if she helped police bring down the people he had been working for.
They agreed, and began an undercover investigation that lasted seven months and resulted in the convictions of eleven people and the confiscation of 13 lbs. of methamphetamine.
In order to befriend the dealers her husband had been consorting with before being arrested, the woman -- a mother of six -- spent time with them at a garage where the dealers would outfit cars with secret compartments to hide drugs and money.
Bringing Down El Primo
The woman would do their laundry, bring them food and give them rides. Once she earned their trust she began, with police instructions, to do a few small drug deals. All of this was in the hopes of finding information that would lead to the arrest of Juan Correa-Gutierrez, or "El Primo."
Correa-Gutierrez never trusted the woman and refused to get close to her, but after seven months she learned from one of his dealers that Correa-Gutierrez would be traveling to California to pick up a meth shipment, which the disgruntled dealer would have to guard while Correa-Gutierrez was in Mexico for his daughter's Quinceañera.
With this information in hand, the Omaha police began gearing up for a series of big busts to take down part of a drug ring with players in Nebraska, Arizona, Texas, California and Iowa.
A Big Find
With search warrants for multiple locations, the police waited for the informant to receive a coded text message before beginning their searches. After two straight days of arresting small-time dealers and confiscating weapons, ammunition, drugs and cash, the minivan turned up and the police searched it.
It was empty.
They contacted the woman, who instructed them how to find the secret compartment in the van and uncovered 8 lbs. of 90-percent-pure meth. It was enough to charge Correa-Gutierrez with conspiring to deal drugs. After the prosecution showed up at trial with a surprise witness ready to testify about purchases of more than 100 lbs. of meth, El Primo and his right-hand man Nica both pleaded guilty and received hefty prison sentences, including 27 years for Correa-Gutierrez.
The woman and her children have moved out of the area for their own safety, and her husband is hoping his sentence will get reduced after the last of the ring's sentencings has gone through.
The woman stated in court that her children miss their father more than she does, which truly makes this lady one heck of a supermom.

She did a brave thing, but WHAT makes her think her hubby won't go back to the drug trade? He did not care for his kids and her before, will he care for and about them if released? BUT BRAVO to her for bringing down the rest of those scum!

eh, before you go bringing up immigration matters, remember whose land this was before the US ran them all out of it and claimed it as their own.

This story is one more reason why our US-Mexican border needs to be secured with a 25 foot wall...not the "virtual" type of wall with cameras and no enforcement, but ACTUAL enforcement. Meth dealers and manufacturers should be geting LIFE in prison not 27 years!! Or better yet, death.
US government needs to start enforcing it's own immigration laws and deporting the illegals en masse..... all illegals whether they be African, Asian, European, Latino, or Australian. All visitors to the US should be required to give fingerprint and DNA sample along with health certificate. How else can we protect our citizens and legal residents from foreign invasion and further terrorist attacks?

Umm and the white legal residents and citizens, non meth and Meth dealers should not get fingerprinted, DNA'ed and health certificate because why? Oh because they are not illegal and ONLY illegals commit crimes... that's right you hit it on the button... Legal citizens/residents do not commit Crime!! ::: rolls eyes :::
You really show your ignorance through and through... crime is not a race or immigrant issue it is a poverty issue and all races, residence status (legal, illegal and citizen) commit crimes including drug trafficking which is not only Meth but including other drugs that come from around the world and not just South of the border... Ecstasy for example comes from Europe mainly... Heroin from Afghanistan/Turkey and elswhere...
Meth is not dominated by the Mexicans or Hispanics... 20% is manufactured and distributed by non-mexican/hispanics and that # is growing... by biker gangs, traditional organized crime, non-hispanic street gangs etc. do your homework Susan before speaking out...

this lady is a total scumbag. first she put her kids welfare in jeopardy by being with their scumbag father. then she risked her and her kids safety by trying to bring down a meth ring to get the kids' dope dealing father out of jail. this is the most ridiculous story i have ever heard. her loyalties should lie with her children and not with her dope dealing husband.

Oh wonderful! Awesome job this lady did in helping authorities clean up on the drug dealing operations, but what the "H" is the media doing broadcastin every detail? This woman and her kids may never be safe from harm, not to mention the husband in prison. Lets hope this is nothing but a smoke screen to cover up for a REAL undercover agent.

I live in Hamilton Ohio and my daughter runs drugs for the lowest form of life you can find in this town. The reason I know is because I have a GPS hidden in her car and I know where she picks them up and where she delivers them and its always in the trashiest part of town. Seems to be on Western ave a lot and on Vanda a few houses down from Boyle road and at a little quick stop on the corner of Belle ave and pleasant. There are a lot more places that I wont name yet because Im turning them into the cops and I cant wait. Rita Cotton was even stupid enough to let my daughter write a check for xanax

Did you guys forget that this "father" was guilty? He was a drug dealer that got caught. Since the wife wanted him out of jail she ratted out his so called friends. What is great about that? She didnt do this for the better of the country or because she had morals. She did this to get a guilty man a lesser sentance. A man that was dealing drugs and hanging with murderers hence putting his kids and family's lives in danger wayyy before he went to jail. This is hardly a mom to praise. She has now not only got a guilty drugdealer father out of jail that hangs with murderers and doesnt care if he put his family in danger, but she has also made it very obvious that it was her who was the informant once her hubby gets out of prison or one of the people in the gang just reads this story. Her family was safer NOT having this man get out of jail. Now they are just in more danger for a man that obviously didnt give a shyte about their safety from the beginning and a mother who closed a blind eye to reap the benefits until he got locked up and had no more drug money coming in. Think about what you are praising on these forums before typing. Please....

Fifteen years is a long fucking time to spend in prison for a NON-VIOLENT crime. I'm not advocating drug use, I'm simply putting things in perspective. Have you ever smoked a joint? Have you ever did a line of blow? Did you feel like you should do HARD TIME for it? FIFTEEN fucking years? That's parole on a murder sentence in most states. "Meth Heads" can be rehabilitated, but serial rapists, and child molesters can't. You try watching your husband do fifteen years in a piece of shit state prison with a bunch of animals, and tell me you wouldn't do anything in the world to get him out of there. You want to say the woman is a bad mother for it, go ahead, those kids will turn out great with their dad in prison, and mom struggling to make ends meet all by herself, those kids need him home just as much or more than she does. Being faced with the possibility of fifteen years in a god forsaken shit hole will certainly make you re-evaluate your life, and count your blessings. You wouldn't know unless your family has been there. So before you decide what constitutes bad parenting, and low family values, get off your holier than thou high horses you rode in on, and worry about your own fucking problems. This is a story of true love and tremendous fucking heartache. She's obviously a very devoted wife and mother to put her life on the line to get her FAMILY back. Douche bags like you make me fucking sick.

I have to say, I'm a man and that would be one of the best things a girl could do for me. It would be a serious turn-on to see my girlfriend and another girl together.
