For a lot of women, watching your husband being shipped off to jail for dealing meth might be the straw that breaks the camel's back, but for one Nebraska woman, it simply meant it was time to get cracking and get the father of her children out of jail -- even if it meant going deep undercover in a drug ring spanning multiple states and linked to four murders. The woman, who has not been named out of concern for the her and her children's safety, went to the Omaha Police Department to see if she could get the 15-year sentence her husband received for dealing meth reduced if she helped police bring down the people he had been working for.
They agreed, and began an undercover investigation that lasted seven months and resulted in the convictions of eleven people and the confiscation of 13 lbs. of methamphetamine.
In order to befriend the dealers her husband had been consorting with before being arrested, the woman -- a mother of six -- spent time with them at a garage where the dealers would outfit cars with secret compartments to hide drugs and money.
Bringing Down El Primo
The woman would do their laundry, bring them food and give them rides. Once she earned their trust she began, with police instructions, to do a few small drug deals. All of this was in the hopes of finding information that would lead to the arrest of Juan Correa-Gutierrez, or "El Primo."
Correa-Gutierrez never trusted the woman and refused to get close to her, but after seven months she learned from one of his dealers that Correa-Gutierrez would be traveling to California to pick up a meth shipment, which the disgruntled dealer would have to guard while Correa-Gutierrez was in Mexico for his daughter's Quinceañera.
With this information in hand, the Omaha police began gearing up for a series of big busts to take down part of a drug ring with players in Nebraska, Arizona, Texas, California and Iowa.
A Big Find
With search warrants for multiple locations, the police waited for the informant to receive a coded text message before beginning their searches. After two straight days of arresting small-time dealers and confiscating weapons, ammunition, drugs and cash, the minivan turned up and the police searched it.
It was empty.
They contacted the woman, who instructed them how to find the secret compartment in the van and uncovered 8 lbs. of 90-percent-pure meth. It was enough to charge Correa-Gutierrez with conspiring to deal drugs. After the prosecution showed up at trial with a surprise witness ready to testify about purchases of more than 100 lbs. of meth, El Primo and his right-hand man Nica both pleaded guilty and received hefty prison sentences, including 27 years for Correa-Gutierrez.
The woman and her children have moved out of the area for their own safety, and her husband is hoping his sentence will get reduced after the last of the ring's sentencings has gone through.
The woman stated in court that her children miss their father more than she does, which truly makes this lady one heck of a supermom.

I seriously cannot believe how stupid people are. Supermom? Are you serious? Every person who thinks she's "supermom" should be shot. So should the mongoloid who wrote this piece of crap. Senior dude, should be in prison for dealing meth. She should be in prison for child endangerment, allowing meth around the kids. (or is it kidz...). Or, if they are in fact illegals, they should be deported. How much tax money was wasted for this seven month undercover operation? WTF is wrong with this country? I know! It's filled with morons.

You people are so ignorant, I agree this woman's behavior should not be applauded in fact if she had any brains she would have been thankful he was out of her life and moved away with her children. Regardless those of you who just assume that she is Hispanic are pathetic, I know you ignorant SOB's want to assume that Hispanic and Mexican's are the reason this country is going down hill, sadly the truth is you uneducated idiots who have nothing better to do than post racist comments are the ones who are destroying this country.
Next time you see someone asking for a handout on the side of the road how much do you want to bet he/she will be white.
Best of luck to you losers, i have to go back to work at my job (something I am sure so many of you don't have)

I'm sorry, but I have to applaud that woman for loving her kids so much she risked her life to get their rotten stinking father out of jail. I hope she realizes he will likely return to his old ways, and once again her kiddies will suffer. If they are truly alians and drawing welfare and all the other perks for Americans, then I say ship her, her lousy assed husbasnd and all the kids back where they came from.

First of all, robbing this father of six from 15 years of time with his children is cruel and unusual punishment for buying goods from certain individuals at an agreed upon price and then selling it to others in the same way. Everyone involved gives their consent, so this so-called crime has no victims, except of course for the children who had their father taken to jail not by his use/sale of meth, but by the laws that prohibit it. Then, the same police who arrested him allowed his wife, whom they did not even train, to do undercover work on a dangerous ring of possibly armed dealers (dealers' access to the justice system is barred and they are coincidentally forced to resort to violence or threats of violence for dispute resolution and protection) in their place. How cowardly is it for the police to hide behind a desperate mother and wife while they use her as their personal soldier. If anyone goes down during the operation its her, and police just wait in time for one of two golden opportunites: 1. the mother is successful and use it to promote the image that the war on drugs is working (even though it costs tax payers billions of dollars every year) in order to keep making money off of asset forfeiture laws by seizing found money and cars. 2. the operation is not successful and they get to use the story to promote the dangers of meth (even though we have already establish that none of this wouldve happened in the first place if the mans sentence wasnt so insane), and scare people into giving them more money to fight against drug dealers and legally commit highway robbery.

I agree with Judge...I was thinking the same thing...damn right she knew he was dealing, and it was ok with her until the scum was caught. It's wrong to lighten his sentence just because his kids miss him...did they miss him when he was out probably all hours dealing that garbage? The law is the law..period!!! I agree, she ought to be in jail too!

Wow. That took alot of guts.....and absolutely no brains whatsoever. She's just lucky she made it out alive. What a complete idiot , to put hers AND her children's life on the line to get her meth dealing hubby out of jail. This article almost makes it sound like he was just some unlucky guy caught up in a bad situation...HE WAS A METH DEALER!!!! he was selling poison for Mexican Drug Cartels..He deserves his jail time. And here's the funny part... Her husband will not get out early...she was a fool for ever believing the cops could lessen the sentence....He was already sentenced...Police can't lower someone's sentence. Cops love dumbass's like this. It was like X-Mas for these pigs...getting someone to go undercover and put their own life on the line to do the job that the COPS should be doing... and she did it for FREE. The cops get to look good in the news and she did all the f*ckin legwork for em'. Now she's looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life watching out for cartel hitmen and I'd bet a months pay that her hubby never makes it out of jail alive. What a bunch of tools.

Wait. Why are we praising her? So instead of serving his time, like he should, he gets off scot free because his wife puts herself and thier kids in a dangerous situation. Really?!
I guess she doesn't mind that her husband was also part of the problem. Nope. It's okay that he was a drug dealer. But the kids miss him so THAT is what is really important. WTF! Her husband belongs in jail and she belongs in the nuthouse!

To JS: Well maybe the ones begging for a handout are white, but I'll bet you the ones robbing us and selling drugs to our kids are mexicans.....maybe the mexicans need to educate our white roadside beggars on the fine art of collecting welfare, food stamps , housing and medical care while they never paid a cent in taxes.....at least begging is honest!

To: Dodah00; this business is mainly run by rednecks. don't you watch COPS on TV. Most of the manufacturing is done in labs on county run and owned by only rednecks. Most of the users are trailer trash folks.

This is ridiculous. You all are talking about this women in such high regards. What she did was brave and did have a great ending, but she's doing this only to get her METH DRUG DEALING husband out of jail. If she had done this to be a good citizen, great but she didn't. I don't think her husband should get out any sooner. After all, he didn't do anything but sell one of the most addictive and dangerous drug there is. Come on people...

Lots of judgement here. Why are so many people judging people involved with meth. Our big drug companies are the biggest pushers in the world. I don't know how many kids I know that got addicted to ADHD meds and went on to bigger better things. How many of you judges are on prescription drugs? What makes you any better? A piece of paper? Alcohol destroys more people than all the illicit drugs put together. Because the drug of choice isn't on the "legal" list doesn't mean it's any better than any other drug.

One estimate by the Dallas County District Attorney’s office indicates the number of deported felons may be staggering.
Since 1991, the research estimates that the following accused Dallas felons were set free:
· 128 accused murders
· 18 attempted murderers
· 409 child abuser–rapists
· 54 rapists

again, by freeing the guy, what does it teach the kids? you do the crime, you get your hand slapped, and you cry and whine and then you get what you want, sorry kids, life doesnt quite work that way. I think this has done a disservice to the children. Kids learn to adapt more easily than we so called grown ups. They deserve better than a druggy, and a mother that is willing to put their lives and their livelihood, in danger.
