You've probably heard the joke that starts "Guys with big hands ..." But ever hear the one about people with long fourth fingers having huge tempers?According to a new study, a hormone known as androgen, which affects masculine traits like aggression and strength, can affect finger lengths during a baby's development in the womb. When there are high levels of this hormone, an individual's fourth finger becomes longer than his or her second finger.
Backing their research up by studying monkeys, the scientists from the University of Liverpool have found that species that have high levels of androgen (like baboons) have a tendency to be more competitive and promiscuous while monkeys that don't have as much are more monogamous and aren't necessarily in it to win it.
So the next time you meet a new guy, don't be afraid to grab a hold of his hand and make the comparison. It may just be the quickest way to find out whether or not he has a short ... fuse.

Actually it's not true that all men's fourth fingers are longer than the second finger and it is also not true that the reverse is the case for all females. My boyfriend and I are both good examples. His fourth finger is slightly shorter than his second finger and my fourth finger is a bit longer than my second finger.
I think it's a sweeping generalization to say that finger length necessarily has anything to do with being a "jerk". According to this article, I should have a bad temper, but I'm actually usually very calm and patient. It takes a lot to really make me angry.

So why are aggressive and competitve men automatically jerks? This article is pc BS. It may be true that finger length is indicative of androgen levels, but why does that mean such men are autoamtically jerks with hot tempers? And even if a person has a hot temper, does that automatically make him a jerk? This is another example of the attempt to wimpify men. No wonder women are now dominant in the workplace. All men are being made to feel like losers just for being men.

Well, I think it is a stupid assuption. But they use the word "Jerks" meaning someone dumped someone & they are going to try to get even with stupidity. So really who's the jerk? The one who would write that article.
And, there is a difference between being aggressive.... & being competative.
Being assertive is good.
Being aggressive can get you in trouble.
And, being competative does not really require aggression unless you are playing Football or Hockey.
