You know how you sometimes put change in the box at the store for charity? Well, you just got served by an 84-year-old woman who rode her bike from Philadelphia all the way to the Jersey shore for multiple sclerosis.Lan Yin "Eiko" Tsai has done the City to Shore 150-mile bicycle ride for multiple sclerosis for the past 26 years. And to top it off, she rides in style -- wearing a dress and pumps while sitting atop a purple vintage bike with a basket. Tsai learned of the ride while working as a massage therapist at a hospital, and over the past quarter century she has become a symbol of the event, even if she usually finishes last.
Like all great volunteers, Tsai is an inspiration to others. This year her family created a team called "Team Eiko" and the 17 of them from all across the country raised over $6,000 for MS research and care.
