The most expensive thing you own: My own leather motorcycle jacket. My design approach is very research heavy. Everything's been done, overdone, so when I create a piece of original fashion, I want to make sure it's actually ORIGINAL -- relevant, different, new. An instant heirloom that a woman would be proud to have forever, pass down to her daughter, wear in the shower, wear to bed, have crazy-monkey-sex in it ... you get my drift.

So I made this motorcycle jacket with a mission: make the best motorcycle jacket ever. I was pretty proud when Madonna pulled it for her Hall of Fame induction, but let down when she didn't actually wear it. (She went with Chanel. Draw your own conclusions.)


Your favorite clothing items: Jackets and dresses! A key jacket or dress is style-shorthand: fast, fierce, efficient, often formidable. I can flip the script on my style in seconds by whipping on a particular jacket or dress, which I like to do several times a day (despite the fact that I run a business and have a 3-year-old daughter). If "all the world's a stage," I definitely like to play a leading role. I THINK WE ALL SHOULD!
