It's more common than you think, reacting that way. Decking the person would be my first reaction as well. I'm a white female at that. Can't tell you how many times I've almost decked my husband for scaring the daylights out of me. He knows not to do it anymore because of my reactions of nearly punching him square in the jaw. Some react with fear, some react with attacking, it's human nature. Everyone's different.

I agree. I tell friends and family not to startle me cuz my first reaction will be to hit or punch. I too am a white female, and I have no "training". I'll tell you, regardless of its authenticity, I laughed out loud to this one and related to it.
