If:
You Think You're the Dark Lord -- or Just Want to Date Him: You wear black on the outside because black is how you feel on the zzz.....We get it, you're goth. And every gorgeous gothic maiden deserves her own personal Satan. Find your blackhearted mate on Gothic Match.
You Love Your Cat. A Lot: If it's absolutely critical that your lover love Chairman Meow as much as you do, then head to PURRsonals.com, "Where cat lovers meet and greet."
"The Fountainhead" Is Your Personal Bible: You believe that "reality exists as an objective absolute." You don't care about feelings so much, or at all. You're probably a lot of fun in a relationship. Ayn Rand devotees can meet and coldly profess the futility of emotion via The Atlasphere.
You know your Picard from your Kirk: Hey, "Star Trek" isn't just a mediocre TV franchise -- it's a way of life. Just ask the single souls looking to mingle at Trek Passions, the "Star Trek" dating site.
You Own a Horse Costume. And It Turns You On: We're not here to judge. If dressing up in a furry pig costume is your idea of a good time, head to Pounced to find a suitable -- and well-suited -- companion.
You Speak Fluent Nerd: CSS lights your fire. LARP-ing (um, live-action role playing) makes you leap for joy. You've seen every iteration of "Dr. Who" and can argue Potter vs. Baggins. You'll find your true love on Geek 2 Geek, we promise.
You Embrace Your Inner Hick: Jerry Miller started Farmers Only for, well, farmers who were interested in meeting others to share the farmer lifestyle. Maybe you plow your own fields or grown your own food -- or just find that really sexy. Because "city folk just don't get it." -- Farmers Only.
You Know That 4:20 Isn't Just a Time of Day But a State of Mind: Because the couple that smokes together stays together, there's 420 Dating, the world's first (only?) weed-themed dating site.
Joey Ramone Is Your Personal Hero: You own several crusty jars of Manic Panic. You've seen the inside of a Hot Topic. You're looking for a Sid to your slightly less-insane Nancy. Find him on PunkMatch.com (even though there is probably nothing less punk rock than Internet dating).Have you ever found love online? Tell us about it in the comments!

I,m a single 56 yr dad with 2 teen boys.I work ft as a trucker in the midwest.I tried dating sites ,eharmony would match you up very well but most of my matchs wanted sex not a relationship or you had to live almost next door.so i feel that if someone comes along then it was meant to be.

I signed up for Geek to Geek because I love nerd guys and am somewhat of a nerd myself, and it's been almost six months after, and were already engaged! Sometimes your soulmate is online somewhere just waiting for you! Make sure to be careful though when meeting them in person- always meet in a public place!

Yahoo personal is were I met my husband. I posted an ad he replied we chatted we went on a first date. We met in Nov. 2004 we got married in Feb. 2005 and we have such a passion and love for each other. We are still married. We have 3 boys 1 daughter in law, and a beautiful grand baby. These sites do work and sometimes they don't. I had given up on love and boom my husband showed up. So even it doesn't work just roll with the punches and remember their is someone out for everyone.

resorting to online dating is just sad. No offense to those who use it and works for em, but I just can't seem to believe anyone would go online for the right purpose. :\

Online "dating" has become a new and different approach to "good old fashioned cheating." Any discontent can make a move on someone with no strings attached and haveit turn out to be Vampira with an agenda to break up as many marriages as she can, claiming she would never do it "because it happened to meeeeee!!!!" Well, Vampira got her man, my husband of fourteen years, to literally throw me out of my own home, run my bills in our divorce through thre roof so I had to go bankrupt, and literally allowed her to bring my clothes to the corner so the garbage men would pick them up. I wish this were fiction. I put a man through law school, now I live in a tenement, disabled, and discarded. Internet bottom line: You're all fishing for greener grass; the internet is the cowards/socially inept way of doing it!

I met a boy through a friend of a friend on facebook, we fell so hard for each other. He even lived in town, but he was out of state for school. We started dating when he came home for the summer but it ended up being one of those "perfect on paper, lousy in practice" situations. Still a summer of great memories though. : )

I met my husband when he commented on my online blog in the penpals sections of a dating site. We became friends over the course of a year and when a job brought me to his state, he asked me out on a date. Six weeks later, he proposed and we have been married for two years. As with all successful relationships, we work at it but as best friends, the work is usually minimal.
Whether you meet someone online, through friends or at a social event, the trick is to be honest and be real. That is the only way you can really get to know someone and see if you click.

I accidentally found my fiance on FindYourGeek.com - a geek-centered online community that functions as both a forum and a matching service. Neither one of us were there to find someone (there's an option on the site to essentially take yourself off the market and say you're not interested in finding love), but he randomly messaged me after seeing my picture on the main page and reading through my profile.
We've now been living together for over a year and he put a ring on my finger at Christmas. I'd say it was a very good thing I joined that site!

I'm kind of scared of online dating. After hearing about all the creepers on the Internet (and having a hard enough time finding the right man in person), I've just kind of given up on dating all together. It sounds like a wonderful prospect, finding your lover online, but I'm just too scared.
