You've probably seen a lot of cute items this month that raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. Now is the time for you to create your own (or, actually, help us create one). Lemondrop has teamed up with the lovelies at the T-shirt company Save the Ta-Tas to launch the Design a T for Your Ta-tas Contest. We want you to design a kick-butt breast cancer awareness shirt that embodies a positive message of hope and humor (and it helps if it looks great). The winning design will be made into a shirt by Save the Ta-Tas and its creator will receive a $500 gift package from STT.
To enter, please send your T-shirt design as an .eps file to editor@lemondrop.com by October 31. (Don't forget to read the full contest rules here.) In late October, we'll feature the best nominees on Lemondrop and let you vote for your favorite. The final decision will be made by Save the Ta-Tas' panel of judges.
We can't wait to see what you come up with. You don't have to be a great designer, you just have to make something that looks cool. Enter now!

In taking the time to write about how offended you are by this shirt, you have made me appreciate it more. Clearly it got your attention. Whatever it takes to get people talking about breast cancer will raise awareness. Since the point of a campaign like this is raising awareness, it speaks for itself.
I am a health professional an have plenty of experience with cancer of all types, including breast cancer, and I'll tell you something, people that laugh more survive cancer more frequently than those that don't (and have a better quality of life during treatment). So if you are one of the people who are offended by this harmless T-shirt instead of laughing at it....... I would advise you to either not get cancer, or get a sense of humor.

Ya know, one can only let a tragedy be a tragedy for so long until you have to laugh at it or be crushed by it. Myself, I prefer to laugh. (After all, how bad is it possibly gonna be if I can still make fun of it and myself?) For those of us who have gone or are going through breast cancer treatment, sometimes a little levity in the middle of pain, sickness and death is the only thing that can keep us going. If that is offensive to you, I am genuinely sorry to hear it. But please know I am far more grateful for those things (including pink ta ta shirts!) that made me laugh.

"Save the Ta Ta's" has brought another generation forward in contributing to this cause. One of the things it has done is bring MEN on board! It gets the same job done - focus, attention, participation and contribution. It brings another breed of people forward. Nothing wrong with it. If it promoted breast implants it would be a different story. What it does is get people to participate in something VERY REAL.

Another shirt that got attention (and obviously money donated):
Save a Life - Grope Your Wife.
It works. It is all about what fits a personality to add to the cause. That man's wife was very proud of him wearing his t-shirt.
