If you thought the super-carb-loaded Domino's bread bowl was over the top, then wait for this. It's called the Craz-E burger, and it consists of a bacon cheeseburger with a grilled and glazed donut in lieu of a bun. Wowza. Clocking in at a staggering 1,500 calories, the donut burger was created by a bar owner in Decatur, Ga., who started substituting donuts when he ran out of buns. (We'd love to know the train of thought there.)
The burger, which was described as "classic fair food," was a hit at the Big-E fair in Massachusetts. We're as down as the next person for eating some corndogs come summertime, but if we're being honest with ourselves, this concoction makes us want to puke all over the Tilt-a-Whirl.

Yes please.
I've been obsessed with donuts lately. Which explains why my bum keeps getting bigger.

America has many privledges that other nations do not. I am proud 2 be an American citizen! We have fallen before but we always stand back up, stronger than ever, and this time is no different! People can say what they want about America, it's our attitudes as a nation that matter, don't let these jealous losers affect you! I'd rather be living in a "fat" country...rather than living in a communist or a starving country!!!

Actually, Jim Gaffigan came up with something like this years ago (the comedian?).
He called it the Donut Ham Hamburger - two doughnuts, with a hamburger and a slice of ham. Eek.
I knew it was only a matter of time before someone actually did it.

this is by far the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. why would someone want to eat that? that is so full of fat! it says i has over 1500 calories. c'mon people! everyone wants to know how and why they gain so much weight when they don't eat so much......well there ya go! if you eat one of those you pretty much consumed you calorie intake for the whole day! that's the biggest heart clogger i've ever seen!

Kimberly,
I have to agree with you. I also find it disgusting. A bacon cheeseburger already feels fattening enough as it is, let alone a regular one. But 1500 calories is about how much I eat a day approximately, if not maybe 2000 max. I only know of a couple of people who would eat that horrid concoction, but that because their bodies need 4x the calories I do. And, I don't think I would want to starve myself for the day just to eat that either. I would rather consume calories on things that won't send me on the road to a heart attack.

OMG! Does Jim Gaffigan know about this?!?!?! Haha. Somebody better send him his check for his "brilliant" idea!!! Though personally I find it insanely disgusting.
...and then there was "The Luther" on the Boondocks, on the episode where they had beds for tables...lol!!!
This is so gross......

Yeah....I irst heard of this sandwich in..2005? 2006 maybe. It was on an episode of the boondocks when grampa and Mr Wunsler opened a soul food restaurant, calling the sandwhich the "Luther", for Luther Vandrose, who was supposedly the original creator of the sandwich. something like a full pound of ground beef, swiss cheese, bacon, and sauteed oniions, snadwiched int between to Krispy Kreme donuts. I actually broke down and made the sandwhich after tht episode at when I worked at a wendys in baltimore, the manager bet me 5 bucks I couldnt eat any of it, let alone all. I have to say it is the best sandwich since the invention of the reuban, took me darn near a half hour to finish though, the salt from the bacon and the grease from the burger cancels out the sugary taste of the donut.

Nope. The glaze donuts add more unneeded carbohydrate comparable to a typical hamburger bun. Under no circumstances should a donut be used in place of a hamburger bun. If he had ran out of bun, he should have used whole wheat bread or other bread slices to use as a bun. A donut for a bun is a no-no because it adds sugar to places you don't typically want to see added sugar on. Also, the taste of this sugary snack overwhelms the fruity tomato, the lettuce and the burger itself, depending on the type of burger used in the sandwich. And who needs starch to ruin your diet when you were told to break your dependency on the unhealthy sugary treats? And lastly what about the level of transfat ingredients found on these 'unholy' donuts?
