OK, OK, so whether or not you think Wes Anderson is a dreamy genius auteur or, like, an overly precious rape apologist, you have to admit that his upcoming animated adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Fantastic Mr. Fox" looks pretty unbelievable. The movie's set for wide release Thanksgiving weekend, with George Clooney and Meryl Streep as foxes, Bill Murray as a badger and Jason Schwartzmann as a ... something furry. Between this and "Where the Wild Things Are," this is shaping up to be quite the fall for indie-cred kids' films. We're anxious to see which has the better soundtrack. Enjoy!

This looks TERRIBLE to me. The writers are trying to make the story look "hip" rather than staying with the original text, which is darn spiffy just as it is. FMF was a favorite read-aloud when my boys were younger, and I shudder to see the Hollywood version. Count me out.

Ugh, I agree. I grew up reading Roald Dahl's stories and this... well, this looks pretty bad... You can count me out too...
