If you thought babies were the worst part of flying, you obviously never had to fly with Jiri and Katka Bartek, a Czech couple who got into such an extreme argument that the pilot had to perform an emergency landing.

The two started fighting in the airport over the husband working late, and boarded the plane still arguing. Once the plane was airborne, the two began punching and kicking each other and chucking bottles and safety equipment. Employees of the airline, Air Malev, became concerned that the Barteks' behavior could interfere with the flight and injure other passengers, and the pilot was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing.

As insane as this is, it's not the first time some bickering marrieds have messed up the travel plans of others. Last year, a woman tried to bite the crap out of her husband's face during a drunken brawl on a flight to England.

The Barteks have been banned from flying with Airline Malev, and police are questioning them about public safety charges. We would have been irritated if we'd been on the plane, but the dust-up was probably more entertaining than an in-flight showing of "Ghost of Girlfriends Past."
