We are trying not to lose our Churritos over the seizure-inducing news that production has begun in Caracas, Venezuela, for "Los Años Dorados," a Latin American reversioning of "The Golden Girls."

According to a press release from Disney Media Networks Latin America, "Los Años Dorados" stars four Latina actresses from different countries and takes place in Miami. All we can do before it airs is pray that the producers have the foresight to bring back the ladies' gay chef, Coco, from the pilot. Can't he be Cuban? And a pool boy? We're just brainstorming here.

Los Años Dorados, or "The Golden Years," joins three other international incarnations of "The Golden Girls": "Chrysa Koritsia" (from Greece), "Brighton Belles" (from the UK) and "Bolshie Devochki" (from Russia; the title directly translates to "Big Girls").
