Our brother site Asylum recently touted Agent Provocateur's new superhero lingerie. The stuff is sexy but we think you'd pretty much have to have a CGI-supermodel's body to look good wearing a metallic helmet and garter belt in the bedroom. But while dressing up for your mate can be a ball of fun, Agent Provocateur's pieces come at a hefty price tag. And in the spirit of Cheap Week here at Lemondrop, we're asking whatever happened to a simple plaid skirt and knee highs? What's the most outrageous or extreme investment you've ever made to have sexy dress-up time with a guy?
I spent hundreds of bucks in hopes of "something special," but looking back I think discount skankwear from any old shop would've driven him just as crazy. There's no doubt that I looked better in the expensive underwear than I would have in my normal ones -- but only because I had to skip lunch for two weeks in order to afford the $200 knickers.
My friend Rebecca found a cheaper aphrodisiac: "I bought a bra made out of candy necklace material for $10. Did my boyfriend love it? Of course!"
How about you -- have you ever donned a sexy something for your guy? How much have you spent on it?

As my 20-something daughter told me recently, "why would anyone spend a lot of money of underwear for a guy when all they want to do is take them off of you".

Of course the reason is that it may get the wearer more charged up. And even though expensive and provocative underthings do end up on the floor, just wearing it may send signals and set the tone. Not something twenty somethings are probably thinking about, but thirty years out, all of those extras can be helpful! Never say never!

I've bought lingerie such as teddies but never have spent more than around 20 bucks. But they're also comfortable enough to sleep in so they serve as a dual purpose.

Visual: if you look or act sexy (great hair helps) you will get noticed.
Scent: If you smell nice (not too much perfume) you will get noticed, only thing, men don't want you to douche away all scent, just be clean and you will bring the animal out in men, particulary when you are to ovulate they are drawn to you even more, funny but men can catch that invisible scent. Don't apply bitter tasting perfume lotions, unscented or almond oils for softness are best, they taste better if he wants to suck you neck, ears, breast, and elsewhere. Nothing worse than a mouth full of bitter perfume or lotion.
Lingerie: yes, it works, should be satin like, the lace looks good but men prefer the silkyness over the rougher texture of lace.
