Everybody went so crazy after Glamour put a plus-size model on page 194 of their September issue that the magazine is doing a whole spread of naked plus-size models for their November issue. On the one hand, we're excited to see curvy ladies (including the super-hot Kate Dillon, pictured) in a women's magazine. But, well, why do they have to be naked?
They're models, so in theory, it's their job to sell clothes. Are they posing in their birthday suits because designers are terrified that people might realize their couture clothes are only made for people who practically exist in the second dimension?
Instead of giving us a special spread of nude models, why not use these regular-size ladies for your fashion spreads, too? We'd love somebody to give us an idea of what the clothes in those magazines would actually look like on us.

Thank God, you are the first ones to be evolved.
I will buy Glamour, but quit buying all the others that show 12 yr old emaciated bodies wearing $5000 dresses.

I always wondered if the average size women is a size 12 why is the average size model a size 0? I'm a size 8 and I wish my belly looked like Kate Dillon's! It's time to get real. I say put some clothes on some real size women.

If size 12 - 14 is the size of the "average" American woman, why is a size 12 model considered "plus-size"? What is a real plus-size? I certainly don't think it's a size 12. Kate Dillon looks fantastic, but hardly plus-size.

Please go get the November issue of Glamour magazine! There is a beautiful picture of 7 plus size models nude. Legendary super model Beverly Johnson's daughter Anansa Sims is featured in the picture. She is a size 12-14 and gorgeous! Her mother blazed trails in the 70's as the first African American on the cover of Vogue and now her daughter is blazing a new trail representing normal size women! Bravo!!

I saw this article with the nude models. I'm not a plus size BUT I agree with others when it comes to reality pictures of women. I would like to see real women wearing clothing by designers. This means women of ALL sizes and heights. Wouldn't that freak the fashion industry out! Keep up the great work Glamor!

When a size 12 is considered a plus-size it lets me know how skewed the sizing has become over the years and why I have such a hard time finding a proper fit anymore. 50 years ago in high school I wore a 10 or 12 and weighed 130 at 5'2". THAT weight was considered 15 lbs overweight then. Thirty pounds heavier back then I would have worn at least an 18. You can't tell me that a 5'2" 220-lb writer for Marie Clare is only wearing an 18. So, dress sizes really tell me nothing at all. What is considered curvy today would have been "fat" 50 years ago. Health and fitness are what matters.........at ANY size!!

Most real women have 'obvious body parts'. Many choose to be and remain very fashionable and chic, despite the fashion industry telling them they can't be! There are many more real women with these very visible and tangible body parts than 'women' without them! What we have been seeing for the past many years is the fashion industry confusing 'women' with 'girls'--using teenagers with no shape to display clothes for maturely developed women. It made NO SENSE. Now the industry is getting smart--because they recognize that the real women also have real money!

I'm 5'4 and I wear a size 12. I put on my jeans and my curves look great. I feel if men of all ages and colors looking, then that size is not so bad.

I'm 5'4 and wear a size 12. I feel great when i put on my jeans, because my curves stand out. I have dont have a tinny waist, but its not big either. I still get alot attention from men. So a size 12 isn't so bad.
