Angela Gonzales of Woodland, Calif., is accused of jury tampering in her boyfriend's domestic violence trial. But in a "Law & Order"-worthy twist, Gonzales allegedly used MySpace to track down a juror and plead for the acquittal of Miguel Dagoberto Lopez. The juror in question was removed from the trial, and Lopez wound up being convicted of assault for a February incident.
What's more disturbing than Gonzales's "loyalty" is that she was the victim in the case. Her man was on a trial for grabbing her hair and bashing her head on the floor, supposedly because she didn't have money for cigarettes. Gonzales later recanted the story and said her bruised face was caused by vomiting while suffering from migraines.
There's no word on how Gonzales managed to get the anonymous juror's name to find the person on MySpace.

i sat in to be a juror and was glad i didnt get on the case. the man being tried
sat at a table with the list of jurors, their numbers, addresses, employers, etc.
while the lawyers questioned everyone. the hole time and for each juror the guy would look at the person, look at the list and look at the person again. not one lawyer, judge, sheriff, etc said a word about it. Now Ask how some one could get info on a juror. next time i have to sit in on one, i will say something if it happens. i dont think that is right and puts jurors in danger. now a days is not the time for that info if the person is found guilty and even not guilty.

Oh my Goodness! That sounds very scary. This sounds like we will have to keep the jury in a separate room, out of the visual camp of the accused.

TINA.............YES ! ! ! I had the exact same thing happen to me.......being questions for the jury selection and the man, accused of shooting and killing a man outside of a bar. His stare said, "If looks could kill". I too was glad that I didn't have to serve on that jury. I have also served on a jury (in a lesser case) and I have also been a witness in a case where a man high on something hit a car head on, bodies all over the road and he fled the scene. IN EACH CASE IT WAS A CONCERN THAT MY NAME AND ADDRESS WAS SO BLATENTLY ANNOUNCED.....MY ONLY SAFETY WAS THAT I LIVED IN A RURAL AREA WHERE THE ADDRESS WOULDN'T MAKE A LOT OF SENSE TO THE ACCUSED.

just build walls around the inner cities and let them govern themselves. The people who live there have proven time and time again they are no longer worth our money, concern, time, and effort. You can't help people who don't want to help themselves.

I want to move to the inner city. Downtown is becoming fabulous. If we were allowed to govern ourselves, we'd probably have a lot better situation than the suburbs, indeed the rest of the state. We'd have art, music, loft apartments, cafes, bars, bicycling everywhere, great mass transit, fabulous restaurants...yeah, sounds great, build that wall and give me a one way ticket IN. Oh, you weren't talking about "THAT" inner city, were you? You meant the "ghetto" where all the "colored folks" live, didn't you? You'd be surprised at what great unique neighborhoods some of those so-called ghettos are too, by the way. Sure, there are still plenty of areas where safety is a concern, but fear of a colorful nation is not the way to clean it up.
