Dancing is one activity Kiera Brinkley "shouldn't" be able to do.
In a wheelchair since a quadruple amputation at age 2, the 16-year-old has nonetheless stricken the word "disability" from her vocabulary to pursue a dance career. Recently she proved just how able she is by performing at Juilliard, the prestigious New York City arts school.
Why We Love Her: As a toddler, Brinkley, of Portland, Ore., contracted an infection called pneumococcosis and lost her arms and legs. That didn't stop her from learning to love to dance, especially to R&B music. While she's worked with coaches, she usually choreographs her own routines, which include some pretty intense acrobatic moves.

The only reason she's dancing at Juilliard is because they are afraid of getting sued. Her "dancing" is not beautiful. It's ridiculous.

Actually, Rachel, I am a quite happy human being. I just don't happen to buy into all this PC bull. She's only there because she's disabled. That's the truth. You can try to pretend with all your "she's an inspiration" feel-good crap, but she's still just getting the chance because of her disability. REAL dancers work there butts off to get the chance that she's being handed.

So why did you even bother to comment? Just be a passerby as if you met her on the street. Your opinion is garbage and you don't think she worked her butt off? You piece of shit!!!

Kelly: I am a "real" dancer. Whatever that means to you...I get paid to do it. I am a professional. However, even before I was a paid professional, I did consider myself a "real" dancer. I would have to assume that you are NO kind of dancer because you do not seem to understand. She is an inspiration! You are not!!!! No, I take that back...you are an inspiration. You have inspired me to realize that even with so much good and beauty in the world, there will always be cynical, jackasses like you that are just downright ugly inside. I did have to work very hard to get where I am as a dancer, but so did she. I wonder if I would be as confident, as brave, as tenacious as she has been to keep dance in her life period. I can only hope that I would be, but seeing as how neither you nor I are in her exact same situation...then maybe you should shut the hell up. Get a life you loser and stop putting down others for having one.

She is one in a million and I am so happy for her. Not many people would be willing to continue trying to do things they think they could never do. My congratulations to her and I wish her the very best in life.

people should stop being "inspired" by the disabled. WE, yes we ive been disabled since birth, are only living our lives. we are not doing anything special. yeah juilliard is a big deal but would it be news worthy if she were ablebodied?

HILARIOUS, you say? Just pray to God that not even a single limb in your body will ever have to be amputated. Because when that happens, I guarantee you that you will never think it's HILARIOUS !!! Go ahead, fly in the face of God and make fun of others who have the courage to face life with a passion even after they've lost all limbs. Unlike you who probably just sits in your computer chair all day to make light of another persons achievements in IGNORANCE, these people you mock and make fun of are COURAGEOUS and FOREVER GRATEFUL for GOD'S BLESSINGS OF LIFE !!!
