In a shocking and very important new poll, it is revealed that the average woman will cry for an equivalent of 16 months of her entire life.

Of course, that counts all the wailing to be fed, changed and held done by male and female babies, making these findings arguably both unfair and sexist. But apparently, teenage girls also cry for two hours and 13 minutes a week, and by their mid-20s women will weep about 2.24 hours a week.

The good news is that by our teens we graduate from crying over hunger and wet diapers to tearing up over being grounded and how "horrible" other people are.

The results were gleaned from a poll of 3,000 people who gave reasons for adult tear-shedding ranging from watching a sappy romantic comedy to making decisions about LTRs.

Obviously we're going to cry over a failed relationship! And they don't call "Terms of Endearment" a "tearjerker" for no reason. But what we really want to know is why only ladies were questioned for this survey. Don't try to tell us men don't cry!
