There's nothing that can make you go from extreme sadness to terror that there's a zombie invasion like opening your newborn baby's coffin and realizing he's still alive.The bizarre story started when an infant in Asuncion, Paraguay, was pronounced dead. Born 16 weeks premature, he didn't appear to be breathing and doctors could not detect a heartbeat. His body was put in a cardboard box as a makeshift coffin so the family could take him home and prepare for a wake.
When one member of the family picked the baby up, he started crying, freaking everybody out and warranting a trip back to the hospital, where he is now in stable condition in an incubator.
Update: The BBC reported that the baby, whom the family named Angel, died on August 10.

WWWOOOOWWWW!! This story is mad crazy. I heard that the baby came back to life from a different source a few days ago. I thought that was a blessing but then he dies for good this time. OMG my heart goes out to that family. =(

The story I heard was a little different from this version. I heard the baby went on to die a short time later. He didn't survive, which to me, is even more sad.

this is an awful story!!! i was so thrilled to read this happy story. why in the world would someone re-run it and add small print saying there is an update and the baby died anyway! this is an awful awful thing to do!!!!!! if you are going to tell us that a baby passed DO NOT use an old story which was happy and then disgust us with your small print update... this became the worst article i have evr read when you all did that! i'm appalled!!!!! babies die everyday... yes i know... but just say the baby died. do not re-run an article that is happy just to add in a heartbreaking update!!! pointless!!!!!! I HATE THIS!!!!

This happens every day in one way or another-either a baby is thrown into the trash, or millions of women are having abortions-no one cares. I'm so sad that the drs. didn't wait longer to see if the baby showed signs of life.....but babies can't talk-that's why we're here.We speak for them, at least I do.

Any clue who those doctors were? They ain't (it is a word) coming near my kids. Seriously. Who dropped the freaking ball?! Babies don't just wander in and out of life. Either they're dead. Or alive. And just think, a lot of those doctors used taxpayer money for college grants a few years ago. Another fine example of where American tax dollars end up.
