Good news from North Korea: Imprisoned journalist Euna Lee and Laura Ling have been pardoned by North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. That means that Lee and Ling (whose sister is journo Lisa Ling) should be returning to the U.S. soon.

The two were originally arrested while on assignment for Current TV and convicted of illegally crossing the border between North Korea and China. In June they were sentenced to 12 years in a labor camp.

The pair's release was announced in North Korean newspapers after a former President Bill Clinton met with Il to discuss the fate of the women.
