The argument's often been made that women are the more "evolved" sex. Now, according to recent research, we're actually getting hotter to boot. As for guys? Mmm, no such luck.

The University of Helsinki study found that women with features associated with physical attractiveness are disproportionately more likely to have daughters than sons. Their daughters inherit their attractive traits and thus, also have more daughters than sons, and so on and so forth.

Basically, selective breeding has created an army of super-hot women. But since women are less likely to choose a mate based on looks, guys have tended to stay at basically the same level of handsome since they were hassling mastodons.

If that doesn't seem fair, it's because it's not. From an evolutionary standpoint, it seems like the pressure is still on men to "provide" (i.e., take care of a lady while pregnant and nursing). So if we want guys to get any hotter, we'd better start buying more Ferraris, hair pieces and pool boys.
