Thank goodness people like this exist. After reading that a baby Chihuahua-terrier with five legs was about to be sold to a Coney Island sideshow, Charlotte woman Allyson Siegel stepped in. She paid $4,000 for the deformed puppy -- a grand more than the original offer, plus the hefty cost to have the pup's extra leg removed. (Poor thing's tripping over it.) Seigel explains her motivation: "Don't do to animals what you wouldn't do to your kids." How about that for a happy ending?

Congratulations to the person that is helping this puppy!
We need more people like this. This individual is being proactive to improve the life of an animal at a time when so many in this country use animals for brutal, cheap HUMAN entertainment.
Proud to be an animal lover!!

Why aren't more of us like this woman? Thank you Allyson for speaking up for those who can't speak up for themselves!
That sweet little puppy is going to be your most loyal and loving friend from now on! Love and Best Wishes to you both!

"Don't do to animals what you wouldn't do to your kids."
I take my dog for a walk every evening so he can poop on the neighbor's lawn. I don't do that with my kids. You think maybe I should?

Where can one send a donation to the adoptive mother? The price she paid for the dog and the surgery can't be cheap. What an amazing woman. I wish there were more like her. Circus sideshows should only be for those who want to join them, not animals.
