If you're looking for another good reason not to make a sex tape, try this one on for size: Someday your naughty photos could keep you from becoming a nun.A 31-year-old unnamed novice nun in Italy is suing after her ex-boyfriend put naked pictures of her on Facebook. The photos were taken when the two were vacationing several years ago, and the ex has charmingly put them on the Internet to stop her from becoming a nun.
Unfortunately, the story has become something of a sensation, and loads of Italians have apparently already viewed the pictures (and made comments about how her naked nun body is making them consider the priesthood).
And yes -- in case you were wondering, the fact that there are naked nuns on Facebook means it's probably time to close your account.

That IS a RIDICULOUS STATEMENT to say:

First of all, we can't control naked pictures of a nun.
Second of all, if Emerald knew anything about facebook, then Emerald would know that just because you have an account, does not mean that you have any control over any pictures of yourself on others pages (except for reporting the pictures) but the same also applies if you don't have an account. If you don't have an account, your probably not going to find out about the pictures in a timely fashion.
But that's not going to affect facebook- a few people boycotting? Not going to work... If you're talking about ethics, facebook will prob have already taken down the pics by now. Oh by the way, IT"S NOT FB's FAULT that some jerk decided to be so un-moral and put that content online!
The last sentence of this article should def be removed--- its just absurd!

There is no such thing in the bible. A lot of priests and or nuns have joined after living a sordid life.
Boyfriend was an idiot and I'm won't be surprised if he gets beaten up by some Italian mobster. Any website that carries such information should be shut down. Ahhhhhh, but we still have children who like to look because their life is so borrrrrrrrrrrrrring they have to search the internet for entertainment.

I feel it is between her and the maker if she wishes to be a nun and not the rest of the world. I think Jesus would tell the rest of us "yea without sin cast the first stone." You want to stop a young woman from developing a relationship with God because she once had a past. I feel her past may make her valuable to those out there living everso wrong now. She may be able to reach people some may not be able to get to.

Actually if you read the Bible carefully Mary Magdeline is mentioned by both first and last name everytime in the Bible. Yet, when the other Mary's are mentioned throughout (including Jesus' mother) they only mention Mary. The scripture you describe of the Mary with the prostitution past is mentioned only by the name Mary. Most theologians do NOT believe that scripture is actually speaking of Mary Magdeline! Even so, the woman with the sordid past was not turned away by Jesus and she was cleansed and redeemed by the Son of God, thus your statement still has valid meaning. I just wanted you to hear those words. Please if you do not believe I ask you to research this yourself in scripture and respectable theological books.

I don't think those pics will stop her becoming a nun.
I've heard enough stories(not enough to be imperical, but definately more than anecdotal), about how nuns, before becoming nuns, were women that were TOTALLY out of control(i.e.drunk, drug addicted, having the status of "town slut", etc.). And one day, something "flipped the switch" in their head, became a nun , and cleaned up their life! And lived the life as a nun, without any regrets!
