Look, we love our pets, but a woman in Ghana has married her dog. We repeat, her dog.Uh, what? Yeah, this actually happened. Says the blushing bride (ew) Emily Mabou, 29: "For so long I've been praying for a life with a partner who has all the qualities of my dad. My dad was kind, faithful and loyal to my mum, and he never let her down."
Don't see how this translates into marrying your dog? Read on! Mabou claims that her relationships have all been with "skirt-chasers and cheaters." The priest who performed the ceremony told people not to mock the wedding, but instead "rejoice with her, as she has found happiness at last." Don't mock? Not likely, lady. (Though we get why some folks decide to marry their cats.)
When asked about her plans for babies, Maribou responded, "We'll adopt." Fantastic! Next story: Woman and Golden Retriever Adopt Twins. Gross. Weird. Disturbing. Any more adjectives we forgot?

What you need ot understand is that, first off, there is no such thing as a concept of normal. That will fix a lot of your views. Second, realize that marriage wasn't created under your religious views, nor anyone elses'. You just have a different version of it, which is neither right or wrong. Third, if people want to be homosexual, heterosexual, fall in love with their animals, or fall in love with buildings, realize that it is their choice to do so, not yours. Your religious views have closed your eyes to the fact that these people are human, same as you. :P

Jim, I see your point totally. Homosexuality is a sin, as stated in the Bible, and God frowns upon it but is it any different in his eyes than states allowing non-married couples to live together and procreate? That is a sin as well, and he sees all sins as equal.
One of my greatest friends is bisexual- I cannot as a Christian, judge him for that. It wouldn't be right. He that judges others condems himself. I cannot be openly opposed to that lifestyle when we find ourselves tolerant of so many otehr sins.
If they find themselves happy here on earth, they are responsible for life after that- if you believe in the Bible, they are going to hell, which I have a hard time saying without finding myself judgemental, let them be happy here. It is no worse than any other sin that we allow.

And you are telling people with kids to cancel their Cable service. What are you a NAZI? I am guessing you are the same person who would cut off their nose to spite their face. I realize there is a lot of crap like The Real Housewives but there is a lot of quality educational programs like on the History and Discovery Channel.
What is happening in this country is the direct result of the Freedoms expressed by the founding fathers, when they penned the Constitution and Christianity was not a part of those ideas.

Are you seriously saying that a gay person is equivalent, in any way, to a dog? I hate people who say "THEY'RE GONNA MARRY THEIR DOG".
This is a big damn joke. The dog can't consent. If she has sex with that dog, she's going to go to jail. She'd be committing bestiality. That's like marrying an infant. It can't talk to you, can't object, depends on you to feed it and take care of it, etc.

ive heard everything now...what God has made sacred is being destroyed by sick mankind... first homosexual marriages now dog marriages.. whats going on here.... now my question is... are they going on a honeymoon? and whose paying for it her or the dog haahhaha. will the dog support her or she the dog... will they have puppies teee hee...... unreal and stupidity on her part. she said the dog reminded her of her dad... was her dad a german shepherd? or a labrador... she needs a shrink real fast... and shame on those priest for making a mockery out of the sacred institution of marriage.

You know, I'm glad they're adopting, because natural offspring? Hmmm. I hope they didn't consummate this one. I think it's unfair to the dog, because he's incapable of consenting to a human agreement. I wonder what happens when a member of his own species goes into heat down the road. Will he still be faithful?
And with all this same sex marriage debate going on, this is the first I ever heard about same species marriages.
